“The Grid is a relatively recent construct. It is essentially a 3D superstructure over the traditional Internet protocols. Websites are replaced by 3D environments, scripts and programs become NPCs, and computer worms and viruses are now ferocious monsters. Its complete lack of regulation has made it something of a digital wild west – like a very hostile version of the classic concept of Metaverse. It has also attracted a crowd of adventurers of diverse reputation, from ambitious entrepreneurs and corporate executives trying to make a fortune, to starving artists, idealistic hackers and solo explorers searching for thrills and adventures.

In this modern gold rush, a small group of hackers has joined their forces to create Interlude, the first Grid browser – part portal to find the best content, part security and combat system to ensure their user’s safety. If you want to try your luck in the Grid, Interlude might be your best bet. Will you take it?”

Interlude is a single-player first-person shooter with a big exploration component. It is an introduction to the Interlude project, which aims at creating a single coherent universe out of many different game worlds, experience and mechanics. The game currently features 9 worlds in a linear, shooting-based gameplay with a lot of hidden content, but new levels and more complex game mechanics will be added in the future.
